New Year’s Resolutions

Random picture of two guys I love a lot.
I’ve never been good at New Year’s resolutions. I think it’s because the whole concept confuses me.
For one, I believe that life should always be a continually active process of change. A static life is not life at all. So, I think it’s pretty stupid to wait for a certain day to begin lifestyle changes. Life-giving change should happen right when a need for change is realized.
That said, I like the notion of making resolutions because it gives me a chance to intentionally seek and recognize areas in my life that need change that I would’ve otherwise likely ignored in the midst of my day to day busyness.
In 2012, I want to:
-become more like Jesus
-quit biting my fingernails
-practice songwriting
I think that’s it, really.
Here’s to 2012!
